Joy at 6+ months

It has been a blessed half a year with Joy by our side. She hasn't started crawling yet, but she can push herself high up with her hands. There was a period of time we were worried she did not seem to smile much,then she started smiling a lot. There was a period of time she was making lots of babbling noises and recently she has been quite quiet. She seems to respond rather slowly to us calling her sometimes too. But other than that her dad and her brothers adore her and she has really brought much joy to the family. I started her on solids for a few weeks now,but she doesn't seem very keen on food. She always sticks her tongue out and rolled out whatever food I put inside. I am still breastfeeding her totally and I am so darn proud of myself. She is the only one of my babies whom I managed to breastfeed totally for this long! Saves a lot on formula milk, and hassle of making milk and cleaning bottles. She is always with me when I chauffeur her brothers to and fro their schools, so I was wondering if that will stunt her development because I carry her or sit her in the car seat most part of the afternoon, since I am on the go. She also doesn't sleep through the night anymore. Maybe she is teething.

Anyway, I am not the kind to chart every single milestone, especially not when there are the two boys to take care of too. Nor do I have time to read up on how I can stimulate the baby,though I have already forgotten whatever I read for the other two boys. I'll just take a day at a time, and experience joy watching Joy grow! I love the pun!:)
