She added Gei Chi also and allowed the chicken wine soup to sit in the pot for an extra hour or two to soak in the flavour. The soup is reheated just before serving. She is aged and doesn't cook now, but I am glad she taught me how to make the sweet rice wine and cook the popular Hakka rice wine chicken soup.

I think the kids really can't wait to grow up because it just seems like there are so many things that they can do (because of the way we tell them, i suppose). Getting promoted to K1 seemed like a big deal to Robyn. She would constantly remind me that she's in K1 and that she's a big girl now. And she wants to do things by herself. So, I've got to give-and-take.

Marcus, on the other hand, took a while to adjust to being promoted to N2. And I have to remind him that he is a big boy now. I think I contradict myself too often that the kids are confused. One minute I expect them to be a big boy/girl and do things by themselves. Next minute, I tell them that they can't do certain things because they are still young. It must be really confusing for them!
