Have you ever wondered how breast milk tastes like?Or have you ever tried it?Even if you do,you probably have forgotten because that was so long ago.I was a formula baby. But I tasted my own milk before. It tastes like diluted sugar water with a tinge of vomit smell.Haha.Guess you won't even think of trying after you read this.BUT babies love it.Ian loves it.Maybe they have no basis for comparison...they just take anything that goes into their mouth.Haha.Breast milk is supposed to be good for both mother and child. It contains the mother's antibodies to strengthen baby's immunity, builds mother-child bond, supposedly helps mommy to slim down faster and helps mommy to feel more love for the chil because of the hormone prolactin that comes with breastfeeding. Read from somewhere else, don't quote me.
From left: Tom yam flavoured breastmilk;chicken rice flavoured breast milk, prawn mee flavoured breast milk and fish soup flavoured breast milk.
Ian is in for a sumptuous treat!:)
Hey! That's something new I learnt today! I never knew you could flavour your breastmilk! Haha! I've just finished reading all your posts and I think you're becoming quite an expert at parenting! And the best part is, you're the same great teacher, nurturing your own kids, which makes it even more meaningful and worthwhile! You know, as a teenager, I've always hoped I would be able to stay at home and take care of my kids during their formative years cuz I think that will really make a difference to the kind of person they grow up to be. (And hopefully, to spare the future generation of teachers the agony of having to discipline a wayward kid). That is also why I'm not keen to have kids at the moment cuz I really can't spare the time!!! ;P Anyway, you must impart all that parenting knowledge to me next time and remind me of the joys and intangible rewards I'll reap should I falter along the way. I first heard of Katerine's famous maxim-'it's not how much you earn, but how much you spend' from Neewyn a couple of months ago and somehow, it got stuck in my head cuz it makes so much sense and everytime I feel like splurging these days, I hear that phrase in my head and I tell myself that I must really try to save now, so that I can be a stay-home mom a few years later! Haha! It sounds absurd, I know! I also realised that the more you earn, you more you spend!!! Anyway, I hope you'll have another eventful day tomorrow! My Chinese Dance girls are going for their central judging tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to bagging a gold award! ;D
