Caleb's new haircut

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 27 June 2007 in People & Portrait.

Brought Caleb yesterday for a haircut.Did cut his fringe few weeks back but his sides were getting longer.Took his favourite TRAIN ride to Compasspoint and scouted around for a barber.Saw this sophisticated salon where there is this state-of-the-art motor car and bikes for children to sit on and watch tv while they get their hair cut.But i had to wait though there were not many customers andthe price was $18,which i thought was really steep to cut a kid's hair. So brought him to this Malay barber. The 'customer' before us was a barely 2 months old babe getitng his head shaved.Ah,i should have come here to get Ian's head shaved instead of doing it myself the last time. And it costs $8, less than half the price of the first salon i talked about!

Anyway,Caleb was amazingly cooperative! I was a bit apprehensive how i would manage with Ian in my sarong sling and having to 'pin' a struggling toddler down.

He just docilely sat there, make occasional small talk with the barber,(God knows what he was saying)and even smiled at him..So friendly! The barber probably found him to be one of the more amiable little customers,he was so nice and gentle and made some sound effects when he cut Caleb's hair.

And Caleb was very happy with his haircut!Even before he slept he was pointing to his hair and said,'Uncle, cut, cut':)

Hi tyan, this narrative just brings a smile to my face! Good job, Caleb for cooperating! And from his expressions, it looks like he's pleased with the results...lol...Showed Keshia both pics and she thinks this haircut is better than the last one. lol...Don't take it personally, eh? Not that she knows one was cut by mama and the other by a professional "Angkeh" (is that how you pronounce it in Singlish?). B-) Send Law my greetings, looks like he's got an artist inside of him, too, eh?

@{H} creatives: halo my friend...eh,actually,this pic was taken before he had his hair cut!haha,so it means mama's handiwork is really not bad eh?His new hair style now looks like a slanted bowl was put on his head when the hair was being cut.

Thanks for your encouragement, now law is so happy with the encouraging comments he is buggin me to let him post more of his pics on my blog!haha:)

Hahaha, very cute. I think he like his hair being cut, wait till he gets older, he might want to keep his hair long.

Hahhaha...good one....should just stick to mama's handiwork...much more cost-effective (translation = cheaper). LOL. You know what, that's kind of what I was thinking...why does Caleb need a haircut?....B-) Cheers'nBlessingss...

hey wow like this shot
like how both of them looked side ways
makes one wonder what they are looking at...
were they looking at another kid and uncle said, "Nah uncle give you nice cute hair-cut like this ok?" :)
i suspect Caleb saw mommy Tyan with Ian and so he decided not to give mommy more stress and just ne nice and let uncle do whatever he wants with his hair :)

@kairospix: lol thanks dude..yeah sometimes kids just has a way of knowing when to do the right thing..not everytime though..haha..just today, caleb used a pen and started hitting the table very hard with it,next he 'stabbed' my shoulders with the pen!I scolded him and tol him not to do it again, and that it is very painful.Guess what he did?He nodded his head and kissed my shoulders and said sorry!I was pleasantly surpirsed.Never seen him done that before!
