Buzz off,bro!

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 10 July 2007 in People & Portrait.

This is Caleb after his 2nd round of vomit for the day.

Caleb is usually nice to his brother, save some occasions when he is jealous or not in a good mood that he shoves his brother away like in this picture.

Today is another lousy day.Caleb woke up cranky.Wanted to bring the children to the park but he got into one of his tantrums about which pair of shoes he wanted to wear. Then he vomited twice, once on the bedsheet, which i JUST changed yesterday and another time on me.Yucks.Porridge and milk. Then i think the medicine caused Caleb to have the runs somewhat. That was 4 times.

At some point i was thinking if my parents paid for my education to wipe vomit and change bedsheets.*dry laugh*

Anyway,i always hope my hub and i could do everything we can to help the boys get along well. And prayerfully down the road they can be good friends too who would be there for each other when they bump into life's rough patches.

This is a privilege i never had with my brother, whom until now i think i never really got to know and understand.

When siblings become good friends... is that an affinity?Or human effort?

Let me just say that I'm enjoying reading your commentary/blogs. I too am a stay at home/freelance mom and over the years (2 kids ages 2 and 6) I've done it all (working, freelancing, staying home with them). My advice...don't try to plan too much because the kids will always wreck your schedule and find other moms to connect with in your neighborhood who also stay home with the kids....enjoy

@SGP: hi fellow mommy!great to hear from you!thanks for popping by babe.you are right...i just realised!too much planning will only make me feel more stressed because its hard when the kids are so young and bursting with energy.perhaps it was just my way of wanting to feel in control.I M LOOKING VERY HARD!For stay home moms in the neighbourhood!my neighbourhood is quite a mature estate and most are older families or much older folks!I have been to the supermarkets in the morning and usually the little kids are taken care of by grandparents or maids. Stay home culture/support is also not strong here in my country.feels really lonesome when u don have company! Will try my luck at the parks!:)

A bit of both...affinity and human effort, that is. Hoping that the boys (including Law and you) are feeling much better...
