CafeBiz @ Trader's Hotel

Monday is my birthday and Hub brought me out for an 'advance' dinner at the Cafe at Traders' Hotel. The food is not extraordinary but we quite like the quiet environment albeit the hotel is near Orchard,Singapore's most busy shopping district. We also like the browse the Flea markets near the hotel outside Tanglin Mall and The Better Toys' Store that sells very cute toys and such.

I remember with fondness how a group of friends celebrated my birthday many years back.Next month is National Day and usually previews are held two or three times in July.We went to a spot where fireworks were displayed and it felt like it was in celebration for my birthday,LOL.

My friend,Xinyi who is somehow involved in the National Day Parade as part of her job,was very nice to offer me tickets for the preview but had to give it a miss because the children were still not 100% recovered.

But Hub took us on a car spin..Did not manage to get a nice shot of the fireworks cos 1)my camera was not powerful enough,2)I am a poor photographer and and i had to take pictures with Caleb jumping on my lap and Ian in one hand in a MOVING car,3)we were a tat late!Only saw the fireworks, part of which were hidden by buildings..

But its ok,i saw the fireworks anyhow!Maybe we could get some nice shots next week at the last preview,if we manage to set out early:)
