Ian's first solids

Ian has just turned 6 months and it is high time he starts his solids.Wanted to start him when he was 5 months but had postponed it because of his flu saga.Ian is very ready for his solids.Fed him brown rice cereal and he finished a whole palm sized bowl of it!
In fact he was so excited he grabbed the spoon and eagerly takes each mouthful and he shakes and giggles in excitement each time he sees the spoon approaching!
I shall try barley cereal and fruit puree next!:)

So cute! Ian is indeed a very happy baby! Think he loves food (just like Marcus)...Marcus would open so mouth so wide whenever he sees a spoon approaching. It's almost like there's some kind of sensor. *spoon approaching --> open mouth big big*

@Nancy: ya,he looked like he was very deprived!Now the thing is for me to remember to feed him water regularly cos i always forget!
Just fed him sweet potato today,think he quite liked it too!He was crying then stopped and stared at the food when i fed him.haha
btw want to ask u..ian been waking up very often at night crying adn eyes open wide as if in fear..wondering what is wrong.He used to be able to sleep thru the night..can advise?

@{H} creatives: thanks Henry!I think Ian is beginning to be well now from his 3rd course of medicine..just that these 2 nights he wakes up alot crying in the nigh as if he was afraid,sometimes his eyes open wide in fear.Do u remember Keshia ever behaved like that?

p.s. I think it was a choice of steak or fish on the menu...couldn't remember for sure 'cuz I was too busy taking pictures....LOL.

@{H} creatives: haha i always think the photographer and the newly weds are the poor things at wedding cos they don really get to eat.In Singapore,wedding dinners are always ten-course meals..so wedding meals over your side are just one course?that saves so much more food and thus the environment!!

p.p.s. Hahaha...for 10 course meals, I'll stop photographing! Or maybe I should have it boxed and take it to go...then I can continue photographing...lol. B-)

@{H} creatives: dont worry,there is so much food left in singaporean weddings you can go a few rounds of shoots and still be able to fill your stomach..:)

Possibilities:
1. Played too much before he slept. Brain still very active, so can't sleep well.
2. Room is too dark. Ian wakes up and is scared. --> use a night light.
3. He's starting to dream during his sleep. Can't differentiate btw dream and real-life yet.
4. Ah-mas will say "put pomelo leaves (7 leaves, must be nice nice ones) in his shower water and then bathe him. Apparently, you are supposedly to throw these leaves (after using, of cos!) into the long-kang. But being ex-teachers, we are more civic-conscious. HAH! So, put the leaves in a plastic bag b4 disposing them in the garbage bin.

@Nancy: ah...thanks for your advice!My nanny used to tell me to buy this 'Eight Treasure Powder' from Eu Yang Sang,which supposedly calms his nerves but my hub thinks its dubious. haha
My mom used to feed my niece pearl powder but that i am really not for it.Its like letting them eat cockles and mussels at their age.haha
i use night lights for Ian..maybe its like what u said,dreaming..Lawrence says maybe his brain is developing.But guess who wakes up to entertain his developing brain.haha
