Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 18 August 2007 in People & Portrait.

This is Brian and Caleb posing together.Brian is 3 years old,a year older than Caleb. Brian is Alison's older brother. In just a short 2-hour visit to Kat's place,Caleb has picked up quite a number of new words from Brian! Tell me about the greatness of peer influence!:)

Bron from Canberra, Australia

It's very true tyan - the children are fascinated by other kids and seem to love to copy them more than us haha
Lovely shot of their play!

Absolutely fantabulous shot. Real priceless capture, tyan! Look at Brian with that angelic smile :-) (& looks like he's got a lot more being planned in that adorable little head of his :) - a little mischief, perhaps? *0) lol ). And look at Caleb! In mid-scratch action AND articulating a word whilst at it. whoa. way to go, man. :)

18 Aug 2007 12:33pm

@Rebecca: haha,i really treasure this shot as well cos its so hard to catch the boys together...Brian is a real fine lad isnt he?:)

kairospix from Singapore, Singapore

ah what a lovely shot of "shifu" and "tudi" :)

what a team!

they are known as the StarBoys! (Caleb T-shirt)

and Caleb looks like he is saying, "Shifu ni ke yi jiao wo mi ji zhao mah?"

Shifu Brain clasped his hands in joy that his tudi wants to learn more and saidm "Ke yi!"

:)

Viewfinder from Bradenton, United States

Great portrait of these two little buddies. Peer pressure begins early; it appears at this tender age this has been mostly a postitive thing for Caleb. May it always be so.

18 Aug 2007 12:46pm

@Viewfinder: thanks VF!ha,somehow i wish they never go school,so much evil outside...lol:)

Nancy from Singapore

Brian certainly has this 'ang-mo' look..wonder if Alison will have too...

{H} creatives from Santa Clara, United States

Haha...nice capture! Wonder what words Caleb learned from Brian...not the "bad ones", I hope....lol...(alas, those are usually the first ones kids pick up - remembering my own experience when I arrived in the US as a wee boy..hehe).

Send regards to Law and the boyz! Cheers! B-)

@{H} creatives: i agree with you.that was what happened to me when i was fostered out by my parents.lets pray that God will help us teach our kids well! Brian is a lively and lovely boy,no bad words definitely!:)

Joanie from Singapore

I really feel you are so wonderfula mom...bringing the kids out everywhere...wonder if I can do it when no.2 arrives! Now already so dependent on my hb. I muz say interactions with other kids are good.

19 Aug 2007 2:50pm

@Joanie: babe, husbands are there for you to depend on,so just relish the joy of a supportive hub..yup,interacting with other kids helps me to see how Caleb behaves in different situations as well.

Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United States

They are sooo handsome! Brothers are an interesting mixture. One day they hate each other, next day they are inseperable. As an only child I don't understand sibling relationships, I thought siblings always got along and looked out for each other. Now that I have three kids and two are boys I seem a whole different side to siblings.

19 Aug 2007 3:52pm

@Dawn Sutherland: lol, dawn i have an older bro and sis and i can tell you anything can happen. hatred, indifference and love...Brian is my good friend's son:)
