'I can handle anything' series part 2

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 24 August 2007 in Plant & Nature.

Following yesterday's tagline which i saw from a cup:
I CAN HANDLE ANYTHING,I HAVE CHILDREN

Caleb gets jealous of his bro and insists i do with him whatever i do with his little bro.

If i am carrying Ian in my sarong,Caleb will ask to be carried in sarong too.(He is too big for it,but still...) If i am bathing Ian,he'll ask to be bathed too.If i am feeding Ian,here he is,he'll asked to be fed too.

Vanessa from Kent, United Kingdom

Thats siblings for you Tyan, I experienced this 5 times over and believe me it don't get any easier when they get older.

A lovely shot Tyan and one for Caleb to look back on when he is a little older :-)

Very true; a cute visual reminder of emerging sibling rivalry.

24 Aug 2007 1:00pm

@Viewfinder: yeah. Its becoming more acute now..did you face it with your kids when they were young? I suppose sibling rivalry still exist when they grow older, just that they know how to contain it,thats all, lol:)

Nancy from Singapore

So cute. I'm sure Caleb will be encouraging and loving towards Ian. Robyn will 'encourage' Marcus by clapping her hands and praising him 'Good boy' when he's walking (or at least learning to walk). She'll also kiss him and sayang him. It's very cute watching Robyn entertain Marcus and when Marcus laughs, she would say 'Di-di, funny.' :D

24 Aug 2007 3:51pm

@Nancy: Robyn is such a nice sister!Caleb depends on mood.Sometimes he is v nice, like kiss didi, pat his head...takes things to didi when i tell him to.Sometimes he turns nasty and snatches away his things or use toys to hit him!Must be vigilant, sometimes can be v scary!:)

MaryB from Staffordshire, United Kingdom

Awww! this brings back some fond memories of when my boys were little.
Adam used to get jealous of Joshua, and in time the other way around too LOL :D
Even at the ages of 22 and 18 if one gives me a hug the other has to join in too! and we have a group hug, as they are both a lot taller than me I often get squashed between the two :D

24 Aug 2007 11:06pm

@MaryB: that is so heartwarming,Mary, thanks for sharing!I am treasuring every moment, like you said, they grow up real fast!!:)
