Wedding Series: Walking down the aisle

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 26 August 2007 in People & Portrait.

This is a picture of Lawrence's cousin, Shu-Ling,walking down the aisle. Beside her is her dad.

I was fortunate to get the 'aisle seat' in the front row, being her relatives. Attending weddings like this still makes me emotional because it brings back fond memories of the day when i walked down the aisle to marry the man i love.

Now that i have become a mother,i wonder how Uncle Charles feels as he hands Shu-ling's hands over to his son-in-law...one of sadness that he has to part with his daughter, whom he has spent so many years loving and nurturing? One of joy as he sees her find her own happiness? Or relief?[Good riddance?!lol]

I wonder how my pop felt when i got married?

I'm sure your daddy is happy that you've found a good guy!
You do ponder alot about events..more sentimental, I suppose. :p

Great capture. As a dad of two 20-something daughters, I can say that when they marry I will be happy for their joy, glad for their taking this step and for their finding love, and very emotional at the sense of losing my little girl.
