Dear friends, thank you so much for coming by yesterday and leaving behind such kind words. I am greatly encouraged...i know my post yesterday was super long but you took the time to read and comment, thank you!
Tomorrow is Teachers' Day and some of my ex students came and visit me today.Ian is not in the picture as he is sleeping and Caleb is being a bit anti-social,lol.
I am very touched that even though i am no longer their teacher, they still made an effort to visit me,thanks girls:)
i baked a chocolate cake for them and realised i ran out of butter!Shiqi and Valerie kindly volunteered to go out and buy, and of course the rest helped to babysit the kids while i make the cake and cook...yeah!Strangely it didnt feel as if i was relating to students,in fact it felt like we were just girlfriends, talking about our lives, updating about their new school life, and them playing with the kids..
thanks girls for coming, I wish you all the best in your coming examinations and in all your future endeavours!:)
So sweet....so sweet.... You taught them well....

Heart-warming photo Tyan, I guess you had to take the photo, so you're not in it? If you are, you look as young as your ex-students :)

Wow, you look so young!! I must agree with Lorraine, you're really hard to spot here, 'cos you look just as young as your ex-students!! :)

@Rebecca: haha, you made my day, dear Rebecca! Thank you so much for your very kind words! And thanks for calling me treasure,i am so touched...salvaged whatever is left of my self-esteem,lol!
People used to tell me i have a 'baby face',i used to hate it when they say that, but now that i am ageing and a mom of 2,i really need that baby face!haha, and i am happy i am blessed with one now..shhhh,will keep it a secret as to which one i am,and those who know me,keep quiet!!
What a tribute to you as a teacher and friend. My wife is an educator; she has always said, "Some teachers are teachers of their subject, others are teachers of children." Which do you think make the more lasting impression? Which are you? Ask your students if you're wondering. Looking at their faces and presence, I already know the answer.

@Viewfinder: thank you VF,for your very kind and touching words, feel a bit emotional after reading your comment! At times like these,i sometimes wonder if i am of 'better use' if i am out there teaching, but i realise there is a season for everything, and my children need me more than anything else now.i only pray that He will help me to be a good steward of the children he has entrusted to me.Thank you VF,your words are a blessing to me:)
Congrats! Looks like you've left quite an impression on your students. :)

How do you know you were a good teacher? WHEN your students SILL come to visit. Gee - i can't remember any teachers i wen't to visit. I have visited some Professors from College but none of my middle or high school teachers. YOU ARE LOVED!

Really Tyan? Good heavens, which one are you? LOL I figure you're either one of the two 'GIRLS' to the right 'cause I'm thinking you'd want to be close to your son. I'm going to go with the one totally to the right, if only because there seems to be an air of confidence...but you could have been awestruck and been the other young pretty girl with the glasses.

So...i am not that confident girl beside caleb, cos that is uynix, and i am not that pretty girl in glasses, maybe you can go to this post, and compare, you might have a better idea as to which one i am,lol!
Tyan, you tease, I have no idea...you're all so young and pretty, Okay, another guess: The one smack in the middle with the black t-shirt, in front of the orange pins! Young, gorgeous and looking very happy! That's the one!!! Is it? LOL
