Babies' Food(6-8mth)Fish, potato and spinach puree

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cookiing time: 20 minutes
makes 2cups

I large potato,(300g),chopped coarsely
1and 1/2 cups water (375ml)
100g firm white fish,chopped finely(i use threadfin)
30g baby spinach leaves
1/4 cup (60ml)water extra

1) Place potato and the water in small saucepan; bring to a boil. Boil,uncovered,untl potato is tender; strain potato over a small bowl

2) Return liquid to same pan with fish and spinach; boil, uncovered, until fish is cooked through. Drain.

3) Push potato through sieve into small bowl. Blend or process fish and spinach until smooth; stir fish mixture and the extra water into potato.

TIPS Freeze any unused puree in 1-tablespoon batches in ice-cube trays, covered, for up to a month.

Make sure any skin and bones have been removed from fish before cooking.

Do you have a market - you could purchase a lovely garden tomato? Well - none the less i will say if you can get some good soil you could grow it beside a SUNNY window in the house - JUST make sure to have a very strong stick for it to grow beside & you tie it up as it grows - some tomato plants get VERY BIG and VINE like - although they dont wrap around things for themselves... you have to tie them.

so, is the potato lumpy when you feed it to ur kid? or do u fully grind it into a mash? i will try this!

@spots: hi,actually i modified the recipe a bit.I steamed all the food,until the potato was very soft and i mashed it with a fork,not lumpy,like KFC's mashed potato.
