Beach Series: Ian loves to lick ANYTHINGPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 14 September 2007 in People & Portrait. Thanks again guys, for making my day with your very kind words of encouragement. So sorry i have not been able to reply to each of your comments like i usually do, it has really been difficult even to take a pee. This is a tough period coping with the kids. Well,it always has been difficult, just that it has escalated further these couple of weeks. I think i am going mad. Caleb is officially in the throes of the 'Terrible Twos' phase and has become quite a rebel. [You know those times when you see a cranky toddler screaming and crying, sprawled on the floor at the supermarket and you shake your head at what a brat that toddler is? And tsk-tsk at whoever is the mother/father? Well,it has happened to me. My heart goes out to all parents out there who had to cope with this.] Ian for some reason has been very fussy and the only time he doesnt cry is when i am carrying him. He doesnt sleep well either. I am living under highly stressful environment, trying to cope with the boys, housework and keeping myself sane. I am gritting my teeth and tearing my hair and prayerfully survive this difficult period without going bald..lol ***************************************************************************

kairospix from Singapore, Singaporesorry to hear about your stressful time you are having with your kids... hang in there it'll be worth it... just remember that it is a phase there are going through... with much prayer and persisting patience you'll make it through and without going bald for sure! looks like Ian is becoming to be quite a little scientist - licking to examine if things are edible - so he has the making of a Nutrionist or Food scientist! :) looks like Caleb is beginning to exert his rights as a free human being - making choices - although maybe now not so wise ones because he is still young but in due time when he grows up he will understand what human rights is all about and who knows maybe he will be a freedom advocate for the basic rights of a human being - maybe he may be the next Nelson Mandela :) and he has Mommy Tyan and Daddy Law to thank for raising him up well! :) hang in there! it will be worth it :) 14 Sep 2007 6:42am Qiaoyan from SingaporeHi Yuntian, 14 Sep 2007 7:47am Bron from Canberra, AustraliaThey all seem to go through it Tyan - both licking and falling on their faces screaming. Knowing it's normal might help and not expecting too much of yourself. Hang in there - and be kind to yourself!! 14 Sep 2007 8:11am Nancy from SingaporeHang on in there! U're doing such a great job with the boys! 14 Sep 2007 8:41am {H} creatives from Santa Clara, United StatesA quick note of prayer to you, sistah! Unlike you I am actually going bald...lol. Been a crazily stressful time at work as well...u take care and send regards to Law and the boyz...Cheers! 14 Sep 2007 6:00pm Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United StatesOh honey, I can relate. I wish I could say it gets better but my boys are 8 & 6 and they are still giving me hell. My daughter has been so easy to raise but the boys have caused every gray hair I have on my head!!!!! I am sending you love and just remember (like in labor) just breathe. Love ya my friend, things will get better!! 14 Sep 2007 6:24pm Rabbit from Richmond, United Statesawww - well i suppose eventually he will figure out to drink it you must be holding it the OTHER way ;D 14 Sep 2007 6:36pm Rags from Plano, United StatesYou may be going through a tough time, but at least you have found creative ways of channeling the frustrations you have (photography). Things will get better. Soon, Ian and Caleb will be taking care of you! 14 Sep 2007 6:40pm Markus from Reading, United KingdomHi tyan, don't worry too much. Sometimes just do exactly the same as Caleb, you will be surprised how quick his tantrums stop (for a short period, but at least you will get some time to recuperate). Ian looks really cuddly, adorable! 14 Sep 2007 7:58pm MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomAwww! bless ya hun! I know what your going through, Adam was just the same! his favourite place to throw a tantrum was either in the supermarket or at church! all full of people, all looking and tutting! I'm sure he used to weigh up where the best audiences were, then just go for it! LOL :D Hang on in there babe :) How adorable is Ian!!!! he is one cute little fella :) 14 Sep 2007 11:39pm Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomWhoa, I LOVE that priceless expression you've captured on my favourite Mr Mirth here, babe!! I never thought I'd say it, but he looks even more ADORABLE than ever before!! But I really feel for you, tyan, what a trying time this is for you. It's really no joke handling a terrible-twos toddler and an increasingly inquisitive infant both at the same time!! I think we both know (breaking into Singlish now :-) ) what each other thinks about all the principles about SAHM-ing and why we're doing what we're doing and all that, and I think you're real solid in this area already, so all I really want to say here is : Babe, though you may not feel that way sometimes or a lot of the time, you are doing a BRILLIANT job, and don't let anybody make you think otherwise. ps : thousand apologies for the very late visit this time! it has been a particularly long day today for us too! God bless always, babe. you're always in my thoughts and prayers. :) please do take care, ok? 15 Sep 2007 1:10am Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesCute, for sure! Thank you dear tyan, for the very kind observations left at my site today. Sorry, but no more aluminum sculptures tomorrow. |:-( 15 Sep 2007 2:46am Mandy from South AfricaWhat a lovely shot of your littlest guy Tyan. Take heart my friend these trying times will pass and you will look back on them with laughter in the years to come!!! Hold on to the fact that they will get bigger and less fussy - even though then you will have other worries to occupy your time. Take comfort in the knowledge that millions of mothres around teh world are experiencing the exact same frustration as you and when you think it just can't get any worse lock yourself in the bathroom....run a nice warm bubble bath and tell your hubby that you are on strike and will resume your duties when the children are older!! ;) 15 Sep 2007 7:14am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaTyan, my comment yesterday didn't go through because Aminus shut down at that time :), but take my word for it, been there, done that and so have all the people who were probably staring at you. Those who judged don't have kids yet, oh and their time will come. It'll stop eventually but in the meantime, why oh why must it always be in front of sooooo many people LOL. You know you're a Loving mother, God knows you're a Loving mother and more importantly (sorry God) Ian knows your'e a loving mother. See that face, it says it all! 15 Sep 2007 11:17am SIJIA from Singaporehii mdm chee ! im sijia from 2i'o6 . hahas ian is soo cute ! ((: takecare okay . 16 Sep 2007 12:20pm @SIJIA: thanks Sijia.
