If i am not wrong,Mid Autumn Festival(MAF) falls on the 25th this month.To find out more about the origins(many versions of it btw) of MAF,Wikipedia has a very comprehensive write up on it.:) MAF is also known as Lantern Festival. Two of the big things about MAF are the lantern and mooncakes.
Last Saturday,we went to my husband's school for MAF celebrations and this is a picture of Caleb clinging on to daddy because there were many people and he wasnt in the best mood. The yellow thingy is the lantern that Hub's student painstakingly helped to light up and he even went around searching for a stick for us to hold the lantern:)

Oh how sweet......I love the look on Caleb's face here Tyan...you can see he's not quite sure what to make of all this commotion!!! :) That lantern finishes it off perfectly for me!! :)

it's not easy to find the traditional lantern nowadays. But to be on the safe side, I buy the plastic, light bulb kind of the kids to play. Happy mid autumn!

That is a great photo! The red top Caleb was wearing and the bright yellow lantern stand out so well from the background. And of course, the look on the little one's face as he stared in awe at the lattern.. excellent photo!

Very nicely composed tyan; poor Caleb looks dismayed. Still he's such a cute little fella holding onto his daddy; sometimes quick shots are surprisingly good.

The splashes of colour and swirl of movement are great. The photo will be fun to show your son when he is older!

A great composition of the bright yellow off to the left side and your little one to the right. Happy Lantern Festival - that sounds like all the lights will be so pretty to take a picture of!!!

Ah...the mid autumn festival....I am missing it...... I like how the lantern was a spot of bright focus in the picture and how Caleb just stared at it.
