Children's Day Special: Caleb and Elmo

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 2 October 2007 in People & Portrait.

Dear am3 friends and friends, thank you so much for your warm wishes for my parents yesterday. They both do not like the computer and my mom is PC-allergic,lol,so they would have been very touched to know the 'whole world' wished them well. Thanks again! See u soon at your blogs!

We went out yesterday during Children's Day and met a lot of kids who have a holiday. We did Caleb's favourite activity, taking a 'bus-train-mrt'[meaning the train] for 15 stops to a shopping mall, where we had our lunch and bought this Elmo helium balloon for $7.90.

This is Caleb admiring his treat.

Jeeez i've not purchased a balloon in a while ( i have a fear of regular balloons) the foil balloon you have in the pic is ok. but wow its a bit expensive. I guess i need to get out more. Instead i'm buying film for my pinhole camera <giggle>

This is such a great shot of your little guy enjoying his new balloon.

My secret life ambition was to be a "balloon man" in a park or playground, the kind of jolly, happy guy who holds a huge handful of floating balloons of all colors and the children flock around to get their own special balloon. It was fulfilled when my children were in middle school and they had a school fair; I volunteered to man the balloon booth, and got to live out my secret life ambition with my own kids and their friends. It was so cool.
