Lemon Yogurt & sisters make life more bearablePosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 23 October 2007 in Food & Cuisine. Halo everybody!! I felt like i havent been back for ages though it has only been 3 days since i was away from the PC. I missed you guys! Sorry i have not been able to visit. From where i left off, Law,Ian and i were down with fever. Caleb was still coughing but he was definitely recovering. Whereas the 3 of us had fluctuating fever, which shoots up to near 40 deg c esp in the night. It was many days of misery because it has been 3 whole weeks that somebody in the household was sick.First it was Caleb down with cough and fever, then it was Ian with his 'false' measles, then it was daddy with fever and cough, then it was me. Then as if it wasnt enough,Ian fell sick again, with fever and diarrhoea. On sunday night,i thought i even spotted some pinkish substance that resembles a lot like blood in his stools. We brought him to the doc and doc said it is probably a gut infection. ie antibiotics. Sigh. Meanwhile his stools were sent for culture to see if he needed to be admitted to hospital.Today he seems better,so i hope he will skip the hospital bit... As i type now,the 3 men are sleeping,my fever has subsided a bit but i am expecting it to rise when night falls. BUT I CANT HELP IT. I MISS YOU GUYS! haha. Anyway,I did not take many pictures, not to mention good ones, during the course of this week. My dear friend Rebecca wrote a quotation i really liked,'Chocolates and sisters make life more bearable' and i thought to myself how true! My dear sister came to my place today on her way to work(actually she had to go out of the way)with breakfast, coffee and a lemon yogurt cake that she baked. I was greatly touched esp in times like these when i felt as if i had to bear the weight of the world on my sick shoulders. Thanks sister! And thank you all my dear friends for all your well wishes and kind words. I'll see you soon at your blogs!:)

Mandy from South AfricaDearest Tyan - i am SO PLEASED that you are feeling somewhat better - I hope that your fever doesn't return and that you can get back on the road to health. I am feeling much better - thanks for your words at my blog. I still have my cough and stuffy head but I am hoping that by tomorrow it will be much better! I miss you...NOW sweetie, take care of yourself :) 23 Oct 2007 10:55am Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesYou've really had what we call a "full plate" of stuff to deal with over these three weeks. My prayers continue for you tyan, and for your family -- for all of you to begin getting much better and feeling much better very soon. Once, my wife, me, and our three young children all came down with the flu all at one time. It was very, very stressful to feel too sick to do much to help our poor children. But they recovered much faster than my wife and I did. Hang in there, and know that you have many friends around the world thinking about you and praying. Blessings to you all, and blessings to your dear sister who came to bring you some breakfast. 23 Oct 2007 12:00pm Seraphine from San Francisco, United StatesIt sounds as if you have had a hard time with sickness. Best wishes to you and your family. At least, from your photographs, you eat well. 23 Oct 2007 7:59pm Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomWonderful tyan, Thank you so much dearest babe for stopping by, even amid this immensely difficult time for you and yours, and for your very kind and lovely words on my blog today, and for the lovely mention on your blog today too. I feel so honoured! You are the sweetest, my friend!! And what a lovely image today of true sisterly love and care!! I love it!! How blessed you both are indeed, dearest babe, that you have each other :) . Heartfelt 3 cheers for all the precious loving people in our lives!! I really feel for you and yours going through this difficult time of this stubborn bug that refuses to leave you alone. I remember our going through these very bad patches too, when our whole little family was down with bugs of one kind or another, and how it dragged on and on, taking us weeks to recover. No fun at all!! My heart really goes out to you both!! I think caring adults find it harder to recover when the whole family gets ill, because you as the carers are bearing the brunt of the caring and trying to keep the household going whilst helping the young ones to recover. This is so selfless, and my heart really goes out to you, my dear friend!! You are still very much in our thoughts and prayers, and will continue to be so. Really really hope that brighter days will not be too far around the corner for you soon. Really please do take care, dearest babe. Much much blessings to you and yours always. *big hug* 23 Oct 2007 8:15pm HorseRotorVator from Newton, United StatesNice capture!...best wishes to you and your family. 23 Oct 2007 9:01pm MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomGosh! hun, you really have had a lot to deal with over the last few weeks, I hope you and yours will soon be fit and well again really soon! 23 Oct 2007 10:43pm Rags from Plano, United Statesyummy!
