Caleb

Hello everyone!Sorry i have not been posting for a few days.Hub's reservist just ended and we have shifted back to our own home, and the cooking, cleaning, and doing everything else under the sun are back on my shoulders again. But having said that,i am thankful for a few weeks of respite at my mom's place, where i didnt have to cook, clean the house and sometimes i get mom's helper's help to babysit Ian while i bring Caleb out for some bonding.

I may not be able to post/visit on a daily basis nowadays,as the boys are growing rapidly and demand more of my time and energy, housechores, working part time as a private tutor now are stretching my time very tightly. But you are still dear to me,and i promise i will visit you, whenever i can.

A friend was sharing how 'telepathy' seem to exist between her daughter and her,and i joked that she should treasure it because i didnt think it exists between mother and son.Hub's colleague even joked that we can forget about having anyone buy supper for us because only daughters do that,LOL.

But having said that,i do find Caleb very endearing sometimes. For eg.he would comfort me and say,'Mommy, dont cry',when i am sad;or run to me,shrieking in sheer joy when he sees me and rewards me with a hug.I'll just treasure what i have now and not fret over the future.

However,Caleb increasingly has a mind of his own and doesnt seem to 'adhere' to our instructions as closely as ever. This is probably a 'rehearsal' of what it will be like when they turn adolescent.

This is Caleb playing at a playground near my mom's place last week.:)

Only daughters buy supper? How odd is this ummm is this Chinese or Malays tradition? Or i should ask what nationality you are... its never came to mind until now to understand the traditions of where your from. Here in America it was an OLD tradition for boys to buy dinner, but now as women & men both work so much it would be either one. And buying supper for parents would just be a nice gesture by ones children here and would not matter if they were boy or girl.

WOW. This is an absolutely OUTSTANDING capture, dear babe!! Truly the epitome of ADORABLE and ENDEARING!!!! LOVE it!!!!! :)
As to your thoughts on boys and girls, I think Rabbit's pretty much summed up what I wanted to say. I think it's very much to do with the depth of bonding between parent and child, regardless of gender. Mother & daughter, mother & son, father & daughter, father & son : It doesn't really matter; what's important is what's really gone on in the real relationship between the two, I feel. Caleb here looks set to be a truly filial and loving son indeed, so no worries, dear babe. Children know who truly loves them, and when they grow up they tend not to forget that. :)

Caleb is such an endearing darling. The look in his eyes and smile give me a warm fuzzzy feeling. Though I've the same sentiments as u, i feel Caleb will be more caring and sentimental due to your special touch ;)
