IanPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 9 January 2008 in People & Portrait. Think i have not been posting pictures of this guy,i have been so preoccupied with Caleb going to school! I have been trying to talk to Caleb about what he learns in school everyday.Sometimes it can be quite 'frustrating' when our conversation goes something like that: mummy:Dear, what did you do in school today? The school does provide a typical day of activities in school, but i wish i know exactly what they do,then i can have some conversations going with Caleb. But yesterday, when we were walking home after our lunch and a short time at library,Caleb rubbed his eyes and said,'Tired' I told him to bear with it a bit more and his ever cheerful 'OK!' He then pointed to his pocket and said,'Sweet.Pocket' I was surprised.'Oh,did your teacher give you a sweet?' He smiled contentedly and said,'Sweet, pocket' And lo and behold i found a sweet in his pocket indeed! So i rewarded the little man with the sweet, also to keep him munching so he wont focus on feeling tired till we reached home. Today when we were on our way to school,Caleb actually said,'Very tired, mummy.Caleb very tired' I was heartbroken.I started to feel guilty that he had to go through the rigours of 'school' at such a tender age.But he seems to enjoy school so much i cant bear to withdraw him totally.I think i will let him rest one day in a week and bring him out for outings at our own pace instead. Oh dear,i was supposed to talk about Ian here! This was taken just now when i played 'catching' with Ian.He was happily cruising and squealing while i 'gave chase'. Time flies,he is one!Ian's first 'intelligible' word is 'ya ya',which means bye bye. He now opens and closes his hands to say yaya when he hears us say bye bye or even when we move from one place to another. I remember Caleb's first action was clapping. Its actually very fun to watch the children grow.I cant imagine how they and i will be if i do return to the workforce!I'll worry about it when it comes.

It is like a wonderful ray of light onto my day. This is BEAUTIFUL. Really truly beautiful, dear babe. It really cheers my heart so much to see a child’s smile like that. Truly, BRAVO, dear babe. And Caleb definitely sounds like he’s having a good time at school. Your suggested a day off a week for free-and-easy would be perfect, imho. Truly EXCELLENT. 9 Jan 2008 11:40pm Rabbit from Richmond, United Statesawww - hey girl... don't you worry. I think you have filled yourself full of that worry stuff already. I tell my dear friend a way to approach life is to ask the question "can i control or change what is making myself worry?" hence can you do anything about one day returning to the workforce right now? is it even happening now? i think the answer is no. BAM one less thing to worry about. I know this seems silly but think of it this way. Apply this method of thought to the things going on in your life. if the answer is YES to anything that you can control or change then set yourself a little list/task write up of a way of changing it. If the answer is no then by all means let it go. Holding on to so much worry will cause even the little things to become so much more of a challenge. YOU are a wonderful mother and have a lot to do. Let yourself be free of some worries my dear it will do your heart a world a wealth. i send you many hugs. ps love the laughter you caught in these photos. 10 Jan 2008 3:12pm |
