Gong Xi Gong Xi!Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 23 January 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture. Chinese New Year is happening in about 2 weeks' time and I bought some lanterns and couplets to put at our door and inside our house..Not a major fan of Chinese New Year, but just thought I'll put them up and can start some conversations rolling with Caleb about festivals that we celebrate. And you will notice that the lanterns and couplets has got Mickey mouse on them. This is because 2008 is the Year of the Rat according to the chinese zodiac.

Using mickey mouse cost money - since hes a symbol of Disney. 24 Jan 2008 1:10am Rabbit from United Statesoh by the way - lovely how you complied your images here... i dig on that. 24 Jan 2008 1:11am Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United StatesI am liking how you are presenting your photos lately.
