Where flowers bloom

We bought this pot of cactus at Ikea last week,and i actually didnt notice any of the cactus budding.But this week,bright,lovely orange flowers actually bloomed and i was pleasantly surprised to see another 4 flower buds.
There were two events that happened yesterday that made me very happy.
First,yesterday was the release of the Cambridge O level results, and a student whom i tutored scored A1 for his Higher Chinese paper.He called to thank me and for the whole afternoon,I couldnt help grinning from ear to ear.
Then when i was feeding Caleb lunch yesterday, he wrapped his little arms around me,choking me a little,then kissed me affectionately and said,'Mummy,I love you'.Without any prompting he said it,and it warmed my heart for a very long time.I am hoping he will still do that when he turns 30,haha.

Beautiful selective coloring! Such a cute moment with your son. I'm sure he'll continue to do that for many years to come. :)

Spot on, how beautifully you did that colour selection, perfect compo! You're obviously an excellent teacher, lucky kids! and my son who is 20 still throwns in a 'Love 'ya Mom' even without prompting...lol

so nice of Caleb to say that to you on his own - i think being in school away from you makes him miss you ~ you know absence makes the heart grow fonder
so when he turns 30, he will still say that to you lah, assuming he has left home to start his own - cause absence makes the heart grow fonder (even if he has a wife and kids of his own to love) :)

Good post processing. Now how bout the other part of the cactus? Leave some green and background would be in black and white? Just my idea. LOL.
