Where flowers bloomPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 25 January 2008 in Plant & Nature. We bought this pot of cactus at Ikea last week, and i actually didnt notice any of the cactus budding. But this week, bright, lovely orange flowers actually bloomed and i was pleasantly surprised to see another 4 flower buds. There were two events that happened yesterday that made me very happy. First, yesterday was the release of the Cambridge O level results, and a student whom i tutored scored A1 for his Higher Chinese paper. He called to thank me and for the whole afternoon,I couldnt help grinning from ear to ear. Then when i was feeding Caleb lunch yesterday, he wrapped his little arms around me,choking me a little, then kissed me affectionately and said,'Mummy,I love you'.Without any prompting he said it,and it warmed my heart for a very long time.I am hoping he will still do that when he turns 30,haha.
