Happy Valentine

It's Valentine's Day today and i wish everyone a happy valentine/friendship day!:)

I read from the papers a few days ago that having a simple-fare-dinner,with a stalk of rose,maybe a little thematic ambience,together with 9 other couples in a capsule on the Singapore Flyer costs $390+++!And if you want to book the whole capsule,you probably have to pay $3900+++++.We thought it wise to avoid the V-day crowd and the exorbitant restaurant rates today,so we went on Tuesday to one of our favourite restaurant,Foster's Cafe,with a cozy and homely ambience for a $39++/per pax nice dinner,minus the kids. We were thankful that we could put the kids with my mom for a few hours while we enjoy a peaceful dinner.Our favourite was the dessert,which was some kind of piping hot baked peach muesli topped with vanilla ice cream and strawberry slices(2nd row,picture on the right).Maybe i can try making it myself one of these days.ha,if i have the time that is.
