Fruit Tarts

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 18 February 2008 in Food & Cuisine.

I was beginning to feel bad that i haven't changed the dinner menu since the year began.Though my men are not complaining.I've just been cooking those few dishes over and over again because I was too busy and tired to think about new recipes. So i decided i should come up with a new menu which might stay for the next few months,LOL.

One thing i wanted to do was to introduce more fruits for vit C and water. So i made these fruit tarts, which is pretty easy.

I bought the pastry shells from supermarket.

To make custard:
Beat one egg,add in 1 tablespoon plain flour and 1 tablespoon caster sugar and mix until consistent
Pour in about 4 ounces of milk and heat mixture over small fire, stir until you get porridge consistency.

Fill pastry with custard

Top with cut strawberries, grape and canned longan. For more exciting colours, you can add peach, kiwi, raspberries..
