Dancing to the MusicPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 27 March 2008 in People & Portrait. Ian loves dancing to the music. When i play some kids' songs on the radio,he bends his knees and back, nods his head and starts clapping.I should have taken a video of him dancing but didnt manage to do it in time.Caleb loves music too and seems to have a keen sense of rhythm.I am thinking of exposing them to musical instruments and even kids' hip hop but found out from a friend that she sends her 4 year old to a music school at United Square to learn piano for about $70 an hour. That is too steep for our household i guess,so i think i'll teach him the piano and guitar myself and if they like it,we can consider sending them for more economical music schools when they are older.Only if they like it.

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaSuch fun and laughter images. Kids really have a great time dancing and music lessons are a good idea. 27 Mar 2008 5:48am rainsocks from SingaporeIsn't it super cute to see little kids dancing to the music? :-) Jamie likes to shake his butt and bounce too when he hears music with good beat... But talking about music lessons.. I hated mine! haha.. not sure if I'll be sending my kids to lessons. hehe.. 27 Mar 2008 7:29am Nancy from SingaporeKids are just so natural when it comes to dancing. Maybe it's because they are free from inhibitions... 27 Mar 2008 8:27am Nishana Minhaz from Calicut, Indiaoh my! just look at him! he's soo happy.. you should take a video of him dancing.. will be fun when you ppl watch it years later :) 27 Mar 2008 10:17am e. from New York, NY, United StatesAwwwwww such an adorable collage! :) He looks like he's having fun. 27 Mar 2008 10:30am Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesVery wise. Sending a child of 4 to expensive music lessons (or any music lessons) sounds a bit over the edge, unless that child is a prodigy -- which many parents delude themselves into thinking, but few children really are (and that's ok). 27 Mar 2008 11:27am MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomAwww! bless him, he's so happy and having so much fun :) 27 Mar 2008 12:22pm Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesYeah - it is GREAT to expose kids to musical instruments, art or sports. It helps them have something to do with their extra time keeping them out of trouble because they are board. 27 Mar 2008 4:22pm Rabbit from Richmond, United Statesoh BTW I love the way little ones dance to music ITS SO darn CUTE!!!! 27 Mar 2008 4:23pm kairospix from Singapore, Singaporehey mommy tyan - how are you? it's been awhile... 27 Mar 2008 4:23pm Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South AfricaWhat a little cutie!!! Even buying or making them little toy instruments to play alone with the music in their own way is fine. Watch and listen, see if this child is ready for the next levels; don't just cart him or her off to the music lesson factory (or, fill in the blank for sports, reading, memory or whatever). Resist the parental peer pressure to force your children into the prevailing mode; let them be children while they are children. 28 Mar 2008 11:52am Tricia from Melbourne, Australiahahaha he looks so happy dancing..and definitely, that cheeky grin on his face is soooooo adorable. 28 Mar 2008 1:06pm Suzanne Labbé from Granby, CanadaIs that ever cute !!
