Don't Be Afraid of the NightPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 5 April 2008 in People & Portrait. I used to be very afraid of the night when i was a child. My foster family got into some major conflict with a neighbour, who would hurl human faeces at the door and come in the evenings and the adults scream and shout vulgarities at each other. And my nanny would shove me into the room, slam the door and shout at me to sleep. Then i would cower at the corner of the room, because it was so dark i didnt know where the bed was. Even though i am already a mother of two,i still do not really like the night and the darkness it brings. I sing this song to the boys when they sleep: So dont be afraid of the night

e. from New York, NY, United States:( That's a really sad story... But it's good that you're protecting your children from the night now. :) 5 Apr 2008 9:00am Tricia from Melbourne, Australiaoh gosh, that must have been a traumatic experience for you! glad your boys are doing well under your constant care! I'm thinking also of our David, now sleeping his eternal sleep ... with not a worry or care. xo 5 Apr 2008 12:31pm bwee from Singaporegee muz b v scary back then... well i m sure yr boys wont be afraid of the night under yr loving care. :) 5 Apr 2008 6:27pm Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaThis is an absolutely wonderful photo!
