We indulged the boys in a cone of ice cream over a family movie together last week and they do look happy eating it.:)
****************************************************************** Guess i would be on auto-pilot mode again this week since i am keeping Caleb at home. At first i was still a bit undecided as to whether to send Caleb to school this week, but he had been having a runny nose since last week, maybe caught it in school or the bad weather...over the weekend, hub and i quickly succumbed to the flu bug as well. Yes,i just recovered one week ago and there i go again. Ian seems to have a runny nose too,but i dont dare to bring them to the clinic yet because i was worried that we might meet patients with HFMD at the clinic. I have a friend whose son caught HFMD that way. From the Clinic when he went there to be treated for common flu. I have become quite paranoid and some of you might think to the point of beng almost neurotic about this whole thing..i wash all our hands whenever i can find a toilet, and i have bought bigger packs of hand wipes that i use like there is no tomorrow. My tuition kids are having their exams within these few weeks so it is quite critical that we stay well so that i do not miss lessons with them. More importantly,i am going to do all that is within my means to keep them from the HFMD. I read from Sunday Times today that many parents have also stopped sending their children to school or childcare centres. 1,000 cases this week,no deaths but a 7 year old girl is in hospital for brain damage. This doctor who first found out HFMD in Singapore mentioned that though there is no vaccine for the disease, one who has had HFMD before is 'unlikely to get it again'. I am quite confused by his words because after looking through some pediatric websites,KK children's hospital website regarding HFMD,all of these sources mention that people who get HFMD can get it again and again, because there are many different strains of the virus. The pediatrician whom i bring the boys to see when they are sick also told me that she has many patients who get HFMD 'over and over again',poor things. So who should i believe?Until some credible character(actually all of the above seem to be credible) comes forth to clarify the matter,i think i'll err on the side of caution.
so very cute!

Yah, better play safe than be sorry. Poor Marcus hasn't really tasted ice-cream till now. I'm been putting off making home-made dairy-free ice-cream for him.... For the HFMD, the ST wrote the 7 y/o has brain damage, the MOH website stated it's brain infection and that her condition has improved. Wonder who's correct. Brain damage is so serious. I've got to keep reminding Robyn not to put her fingers in her mouth. She's (all of a sudden) doing that again and she's also back to speaking gribbish. Wonder why....

Yah...Ying Ying was down with a throat infection last week and I was a bit hesitant to take her to the clinic. Scared to get the HFMD lah. Luckily I went on a wkday afternoon and there were only a couple of kids around.
