Excursion to Sentosa

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 16 May 2008 in People & Portrait.

Caleb and I were all excited to go for the excursion organised by the school yesterday to Sentosa. The weather was wonderful and we had a great time:)

Top row from left:

1) We took a shot of Caleb and some of his classmates together.Ever since the HFMD outbreak, his class size has dropped considerably. From left,Jadyn,Caleb,Amber,Qiyue and Bryant.

2)Caleb posing at the Palawan Beach

3)Caleb with his current 'girlfriend',Amber.Amber's mummy was telling me that Amber really treasured the seashell and butterfly that Caleb gave her at the openhouse.HAHA.Erm,pledge of love?

Second row from left:
1)A dolphin leaps into the air for the ball at the Dolphin Lagoon. So said the commentator that these creatures are so intelligent they know where to aim for the ball inside the water despite refraction.

2)At one point, all the other kiddos' parents 'deserted' me to nanny all of them. Its ok for me,i love it.

3)The kids playing with their sandcastle kit.

Bottom row from left:

1)Caleb touches the fishes at the Touch pool.Caleb was so enthusiastic he almost fell into the pool!

2)Caleb went on to touch the sting ray at the ray pool. They are all very friendly. They looked as if they deliberately swam to us to be touched.

3)They have this 'tikam' machine that sells fish food.We bought some and Caleb inserted the food in through a small hole.I wondered why the water in the tank didnt gush out even though there was a hole. My engineer-husband says its gotto do with physics, something about some partial vacuum somewhere that stops the water from coming out.Ok,i was a physics-flop.

Strangely,my husband is teaching the subject i hated and fared worst, and i teach the subject he didnt like and fared worst.Opposite attracts, they say!LOL

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. It wont be many years before my son wont want to see me 100m within his radius.haha!

hahahah the way you say "current 'girlfriend'" makes him sound as though he's a playboy. hopefully not thought.

but it's so sweet of him..haha pledge of love..what are your thoughts on your son having a 'girlfriend' at this age?

Amber is a sweetie. I can understand why Caleb would give her such precious gifts as a shell and butterfly. He has a good eye for beauty. They make a really cute kinder-couple. All of these pix together tell a great story tyan. What a wonderful experience, and put together so well. Memories had, memories made.

Nancy from Singapore

Looks so fun!
I'm not going to follow Robyn for her field trips for the next few months. Wouldn't want a replay of what happened at the Jacob Ballas Garden. She became this little clingy whinny girl instead of the usual big sister in happy sun. And I think I'm one of the more enthu-parents to join them for the field trips. Perhaps, the other parents also avoided cos their kids behaved the same way when they're there! :p

It's great that you went with Caleb. I have never followed Shanna to her excursions :( I had a chance to last year but I was expecting Nat and it was at Snow City...a definite no-no. I just pay and send her off. That's bad eh! You are so right about the opposites attract.....my husband is in IT/Marketing and I am English & drama. Weird huh. But I guess it makes the marriage all the more fun :) Cheers Babe!
