National MuseumPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 31 May 2008 in Architecture. I brought Caleb to a storybook making workshop as part of its Children's Season organised by the National Museum. It has gone through a major revamp that took 3 years and this is the first time i came after its renovation was completed in 2006,i think.

Nancy from SingaporeHow did Caleb take to the activity? It must be fun! I'm taking up another part-time job, on top of the one with RP. :p 31 May 2008 7:19am @Nancy: what are you doing?sth at the National Museum?Too bored is it?he he. Anyway, the story book making was 1.5 hours, too long for a 3 year old kid.He kept asking me,'Mummy, shall we go?' haha.I was the one doing the story book.Sigh.The facilitator not very engaging too, overall, its not fantastic.Maybe Caleb is too young for it.The Mozart Child prodigy thingy seems very fun though! Rags from Plano, United StatesIt looks really nice. Please say hi to your lovely children! 31 May 2008 10:13am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaThe building is beautiful, I don't know what it looked like before, but the renovation looks really good :) 31 May 2008 10:55am Tricia from Melbourne, Australiais it me or the bulding is REALLY white? when i was back earlier this year, it didnt seem this white! or maybe because by the time i got off work, it was too dark to tell it was this white. 31 May 2008 11:35am @Tricia: i think its slightly gray, very pale gray.Nice hor? Sue from Singapore, SingaporeThe museum looks very majestic here! Looks like you are very busy keeping the kids busy! hehe! 31 May 2008 12:25pm Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesTy, your capture is wonderful, even if Caleb wasn't completely thrilled. *smile* 31 May 2008 10:38pm bwee from SingaporeHi! how was the storymaking session? I signed Faith up for the murmurs workshop series opposite but was v disappointed because the activities were way too simple for her. Jus dab/squeeze/paint a bit here and there and charge $20/session!!!!!! Duration too long also. 50min to play with playdoh? Needless to say, all the parents looked so bored. I signed up for 3 sessions and gave the last one a miss. :( Would hv gone for the storymaking workshop which is more intellectually stimulating but it stated must be at least 36mth or something. Major regret. HAIZ. 2 Jun 2008 6:47am Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomAlways good to see these traditional (traditional to where, I wonder?) buildings restored. A place feels more like a museum, to me, when it looks like this. 2 Jun 2008 2:06pm |
