In Tune with B

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 18 November 2008 in People & Portrait.

YT was very nice to buy me a ticket to watch B's personal concert at the Arts House. I have been looking forward to this gathering with my ex-colleagues because i have not had some me-time for ages. I love the children but a few hours without the kids can be really refreshing.

The setting was very friendly and relaxing, with the female lead making small chats, waves and flashing smiles at her audience.

I always wondered why a fantastic singer like B is doing in the teaching profession, but i suppose sometimes you dont have to make your passion your career, having a concert like that is good enough for fans like me.:)

I was in tears when B sang 'Shall we talk' by Eason Chan. (Click on the link to listen to the song, try RM试听 when you reach the site)

This song talks about the lack of communication in parent-child/love relationship, and an appeal to open hearts to communicate and understand each other, before it is too late.

shall we talk shall we talk

shall we talk shall we talk

Repeat #

and shall we talk

I'm so happy you were able to get out with your colleagues for a bit ... and that you enjoyed it. Sadly, I couldn't get any of the music formats to open. You took a lovely photo of B ~ I like your soft focus.

B will surely want a copy of this very thoughtful portrait. Am glad you got out and did some tyan-time. Everybody needs some of that, even great moms like you. Makes you a better mom, a happier wife, and an at-peace with the world person, all in all.

A beautiful portrait Tyan.
I really do think that everyone needs some "me" time, it's not a selfish thing and I think it benefits all. It's a way to recharge and refresh yourself. I deprived myself of "me" time for many years but now I do and it's wonderful :) Glad you got some time to do things you enjoy :)
