My ex-students came to my place yesterday to visit. I felt a lump in my throat when i saw them, because it made me miss teaching very much and of course watching them grow from 13-year-old 'tweenies' to 17-year-old young adults!

I felt very touched that they bothered to come even though i am no longer teaching them and not even a 'teacher' anymore. [Thanks for coming!:)] I am one of those 'ungrateful' students who never visit their teachers, at least not at their homes! LOL

They did well for their O level and are embarking on their new journeys in different schools.I wish you all the best, darlings!:)

I am looking forward to eating steamboat at my mom's tonight, the highlight of my CNY celebrations. I really miss my mom's steamboat, which is tasty and sumptuous, especially after I got married(since the wife is to have reunion dinner on Chinese New Year eve with Husband's family as tradition). It's the best steamboat in town, until now, I still cry over not being able to eat my mom's steamboat on CNY eve.But today is eve's eve,so heck,I'll be a contented girl after tonight:)

Sixteen young lives deeply touched by yours ... how heart-warming is that?
Enjoy your 'steamboat' ... and is this what your mom's is? "While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood. The cooked food is usually eaten with a dipping sauce. In many areas, hot pot meals are often eaten in the winter."
