WindtalkersPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 13 March 2009 in People & Portrait. ...John Woo's movie, starring Nicholas Cage and Christian Slater. Plot summary Cup becomes Dub After i broke the 'Ah Buy'(decode=can't find) code few days back,I got hooked, and our conversations become a little like those of the windtalkers. Ian goes babbliing while i try to decode some of the things he said which i never managed to figure out what they really were. Few days ago, when his dad went out,he stood at the door and said, 'Where papa ah-win, Papa ah-win work' What is ah-win? Yeah you are right,it's 'going'. At night,he spontaneously said, 'Ah nai, papa' 'Ah nai, mummy' 'Ah nai, dordor' 'Ah nai, didi' He was saying 'good night' to his dad, mum, brother(gorgor which he pronounce as dordor) and himself. Then there is 'ligh.Ah bu ah dard' 'Ligh. Udder-meh' 'bubber bai' 'ah mer beh' 'Ah molt ah toll' And then I realise if i would just pay attention to what he said,it is not so difficult being windtalkers. In fact,it gives some kind of mysterious thrill, because only Ian and I understand,LOL.

Vanessa from Kent, United KingdomAwww it's nice to record what they say too Tyan and save it as a keepsake for when they are older because it's always the little things that get forgotten over time. 13 Mar 2009 5:29am Nancy from Singaporehahahah...such fun little 'secret' conversations between Ian and you. ;) Robyn is definitely getting better; perhaps even recovered. Super speedy recovery. She is already hoping and jumping around. 13 Mar 2009 9:42am Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesYou are amazing tyan. Only a mother could decipher those early words. It is so good he is talking and you're understanding. It must be a thrill to him that you are making this connection. 13 Mar 2009 11:31am Cricket-Tammy from United StatesOnly those that listen to a child hear them. Wow...this is great. 14 Mar 2009 6:52pm uncle heng from Singaporehmm.... looks like most two syllable words start with "ah" for this young man. Have fun with the interpretation! 15 Mar 2009 5:55pm Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesSoon he will come around to learning the pronunciation of new consonants and will be talking a 'blue streak' so everyone will understand. In the meantime, Mom, you are his 'windtalker'. 17 Mar 2009 9:04am |
