Zoo series:Feeding Kangaroo

Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 3 May 2009 in Animal & Insect.

Recently,Caleb is into one of his 'zoobsession' again. Every day, he made himself heard that he wanted to go to the zoo, though honestly we have been there many times and I am quite sick of it. But it was such a driving force we could actually 'use' it to make him eat his vegetables, and his horrible tasting Chinese medication.

On some days, he got discouraged and told me that his cough wasnt getting well(though it was) and that he 'will not be able to go to the zoo forever'. He earnestly ate his vegetables and medicine, saying that he will then get well,be healthy and then he can go to the zoo.

So on the eve of the Labour Day public holiday, husband left workplace early to pick us from Caleb's kindy and set off to the zoo. Caleb was totally elated. This time was fun because there were not many people and we actually went to ta few spots we seldom or never went in all our zoo trips!:)

We were at the Kangaroo range when it was feeding time. For $5,we have a cup of food to feed them. They stuck out their tongues to lick the food from our hands, was a yucky feeling but very fun!:)

The kids are just so good at reasoning their thoughts.

Robyn has been having cough too and also wanted to visit the zoo. I told her that she can't go becos she has a cough and she can pass the germs to the animals. And just imagine the elephant getting the cough, the monkeys swinging halfway and started coughing. The images conjured up in my mind are rather comical...I wonder if she thinks of it the same way as I do. ;p

Look at that earnest expression on Caleb's face. And Ian's headgear is... a fashion statement, to say the least. Nice shot tyan.
