'Just Now'Posted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 7 September 2009 in Art & Design. When Caleb wants to relate some incidents to his father, he would say,'Just now, something happened...' And this 'just now' includes last year, last month, last week, yesterday, that morning and literally, just now. So i decided to teach him weather, days, and months.

Nancy from SingaporeRobyn says exactly the same words "Just now, this...", "Just now, that...". I have to keep correcting her. Plus she knows the words yesterday, last night, even the Chinese words that you have in your photo. I think it's a concept of time that they need to grasp. Everything seems so recent for them! :p 7 Sep 2009 11:43am @Nancy: yeah,Caleb uses 'yesterday' too,but sometimes didnt use it correctly. They learn very quickly.just one day after i teach him,he can already more or less recognise the words, just need to grasp concept of time, like you said:) Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesWe call these 'flash cards' ... to teach concepts, vocabulary, spelling, etc. - do you use that term? 7 Sep 2009 1:38pm Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesGood story, good photo; Caleb will catch on quickly enough. 7 Sep 2009 6:33pm |
