Banana BreadPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 30 October 2009 in Food & Cuisine. Sometimes Caleb asks me to bake for him. He learnt the word 面包(meaning bread)in school and asked if i could bake bread for him.I found a really easy one in a children's recipe book and we baked together. The wonderful thing about baking instead of buying is that he always finishes what we baked together. 300g plain flour 1) Grease anf flour the bottom of a loaf tin, then preheat oven to 180 deg c(i used 160 deg c) 2) Next sift the flour, sugar, bicarbonate of soda and salt in a large bowl and set aside. 3) In another bowl, mix the mashed bananas, yogurt, beaten eggs, butter and vanilla essence with a wooden spoon. 4) Once these ingredients have been combined, they need to be folded into the dry ingredients with a spatula. Adult supervision is required here as over-mixing will prevent the bread from rising as it should. 5) Once you have a thick chunky batter, scrape it into prepared loaf tin and bake for about 55 minutes (i used 45 minutes)
