Rainbow CrabPosted by tyan (Singapore, Singapore) on 30 December 2009 in Animal & Insect. We saw these rainbow crabs from the fish farm where the boys and I did longkang fishing yesterday.Their colours looked like they were dished out of the wok before they were fully cooked.

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesExcellent! These are interesting creatures. Are they land crabs? This one sort of resembles what we call fiddler crabs around these parts, but they are small. Yours looks to be quite a bit larger. 30 Dec 2009 5:20am Zora Zoé - sichtbar fotogrativ from Berlin, GermanyThis little Mr. Krabs looks, like he'd think: "Come nearer and I'll smack you!" Very nice capture with amazing colours and detail, make me think of the krusty krab :-) Very well done! 30 Dec 2009 8:16am Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesThere seems to be a good amount of meat in those crab legs ... are they good eating? 30 Dec 2009 11:31am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaOh my gosh, what a macro, they are so beautiful, how in the world am I ever going to eat crab again... 30 Dec 2009 12:33pm dabbler from Minneapolis, United StatesSplendid colors - it looks like a creature from another planet! Great shot!! 30 Dec 2009 8:45pm Seraphine from San Francisco, United Statesi don't know why crabs have that look on their faces, like they are mad at you for pulling them from the sea. but i think they are born with those faces. i have never seen a happy crab, though i'm sure they exist. i wonder if a crab ecver smiles? 31 Dec 2009 11:58pm |
